To enhance competencies in email management and file organization, structured learning combined with hands-on practice is recommended. Many hospitals provide grant-funded learning opportunities in collaboration with local community colleges, offering courses such as Excel basics, Outlook management, and PowerPoint presentations. Additionally, platforms like YouTube host numerous tutorials on email applications and file management techniques, providing practical insights. Routine organization, along with checklist development, can aid in systematically overseeing the email inbox, categorizing, and archiving emails. Research indicates that many nurses lack adequate informatics competency, particularly in fundamental computer skills, which they often rate as satisfactory or inadequate (Khezri & Abdekhoda, 2019). Accessing free educational resources, including hospital-sponsored classes and online tutorials, can support continuous improvement. Moreover, nurse leaders must develop informatics competencies as healthcare organizations increasingly adopt electronic health information systems. Collaborations between organizations such as the International Medical Informatics Association and the American Organization for Nurse Leaders (AONL) have contributed to defining competency skills for nurse leaders, directing them toward relevant learning opportunities (Morse & Warshawsky, 2021).
