Management Functions

There are five primary functions of management:

Planning: Planning is future-oriented and determines the direction of the organization.

Organizing: Work subdivisions must be defined, arranged, and coordinated in a way that ensures each part is connected to the other cohesively. This requires a formal authority structure as well as the direction and flow of that authority.

Staffing: Staffing involves hiring a suitable workforce for the enterprise at both managerial and non-managerial levels.
