The purpose of the graded collaborative discussions is to engage both faculty and students in an interactive dialogue that aids students in organizing, integrating, applying, and critically evaluating scholarly literature regarding success strategies in graduate nursing education. These discussions encourage meaningful dialogue, fostering a learning community where ideas, perspectives, and knowledge are shared. This exchange of ideas supports the professional development of the nurse practitioner role.
This discussion allows students to meet the following course outcomes:
Due Date
Initial posts are due by Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. MT. Instructor and peer responses must be submitted by Sunday at 11:59 p.m. MT. Students must post on at least two separate days. A late penalty of 10% will be imposed for any discussion posted after the Wednesday deadline, regardless of how many days late. No submissions will be accepted after Sunday at 11:59 p.m. MT, and any late post will receive an automatic grade of 0.

Integration of Evidence | – Cite scholarly sources as per program expectations (minimum of two scholarly sources per week). |
 | – Provide citations in both your initial post and one response to a peer and a faculty member. |
 | – Accurately apply principles from evidence, limiting quotes to no more than 15 words. |
Engagement in Meaningful Dialogue | – Respond to at least one peer and one faculty member. |
 | – Engage in respectful and collegial language while sharing insights, asking questions, and providing new perspectives for practice. |
Professionalism in Communication | Ensure minimal errors in grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation. |
Reference Citation | Use current APA format for citations and references, free of errors. |
Participation Requirement | – Provide a substantive response to the discussion topic by Wednesday, 11:59 p.m. MT. |
