Introduction to the Learning Agreement

The NR 621 Learning Agreement is a structured document that provides a roadmap for students as they navigate their practicum experience. It establishes well-defined goals, detailed plans, and ongoing self-evaluations to align with course objectives. This agreement is reviewed weekly with the mentor to ensure continuous progression and any required modifications. By the end of Week 6, students must assess their achievement of these goals, validated through their mentor’s signature.

The agreement consists of two primary components:

  • The Initial Learning Agreement (Week 1), which is valued at 75 points.
  • The Updated Learning Agreement (Week 6), which is worth 50 points.

Both components must be completed with specific goals, strategies, and mentor approval before submission. Adherence to deadlines is critical, as late submissions are governed by the Late Assignment Policy.

The submission deadlines for each component are as follows:

  • Initial Learning Agreement: Due by 11:59 PM MT on Sunday of Week 1.
  • Updated Learning Agreement: Due by 11:59 PM MT on Sunday of Week 6.

Additionally, students must complete a total of 72 practicum hours as part of the NR 621 course.
