After thoroughly reviewing the provided instructions, templates, and rubrics for each of the four parts of the Direct Care Project, I feel confident that I have a clear understanding of the requirements. This understanding ensures that I am well-prepared to progress with the project effectively.

Question 2

The target population for the Direct Care Project includes registered nurses (RNs) working in an emergency room setting. Specifically, I have identified two emergency room RNs who are unaware of the benefits of obtaining the Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification. The selection of this population is based on recognizing their potential to improve both patient outcomes and leadership capabilities through certification.

The clinical certification selected for the identified target population is the Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification. This certification is awarded to RNs who demonstrate proficiency in handling critical care situations, performing triage, and accurately evaluating emergencies. Initially, I felt intimidated by the scope and complexity of the Direct Care Project.
