Dear [Recipient Name],
I am writing to submit my research on the current issues negatively affecting telehealth services and the healthcare professionals who provide them. This research aims to identify key challenges in the telehealth sector and propose policy recommendations to address these issues. As a committed research student, I believe the recommendations I provide will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of telehealth policies. I am excited about the opportunity to collaborate with your office to improve telehealth services, ensuring better outcomes for healthcare providers and patients alike.
The COVID-19 pandemic has further exacerbated existing problems within the healthcare system, including restricted access to care, rising healthcare costs, and increased mortality rates. In light of these challenges, expanding telehealth services has become an urgent necessity. Telehealth has the potential to improve the quality of care, enhance patient and nurse satisfaction, ensure more equitable access to healthcare, and reduce costs. Moreover, it encourages the adoption of advanced technology, lowers hospital readmissions, reduces unnecessary emergency room visits, and decreases mortality rates.
Despite these advantages, several current policies create barriers to the widespread implementation of telehealth. These include restricted healthcare services and facilities, unclear guidelines surrounding the use of audio and video technologies, challenges related to licensure, and obstacles to integrating telehealth as a permanent feature within the healthcare system. I look forward to discussing these issues with you and working together to develop solutions that will help telehealth become a lasting and effective part of healthcare delivery. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Kimberly Morton
